Your Destination

Situated in Southern France covering four mountain ranges. In the north-west, the basalt plateau of Aubrac,  north and north-east of the department contains the Margeride mountains, Causses are a series of very dry limestone plateaus in the south-west, and the south-east contains the Cévennes, which include the highest point in the department, the granite Mont Lozère at 1,702 m. Lozère is the least populous French department, offers students the opportunity to learn about France’s past and present while experiencing life in a rural setting.

PROPOSED ITINERARY FOR A 7-NIGHT STAY

Airfare from the United States to Paris ; 2-night 3* hotel stay at destination ; visit of Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, and Hemingway Walking Tour ; ground transportation to Lozère ; visits of historical archaeological and architectural sites ; historic dolmen hike ; ground transportation to Barcelona ; lunch in Collioure; visit of La Sagrada Familia ; accommodations and food throughout your stay. 

We will tailor the students’ and their professor’s stay according to the specific course(s) taught and the length of stay. All along the stay the travelers will discover unique experiences of staying in rural France and give their cultural discoveries a whole new meaning and lifelong memories that may also spark new vocations. Each stay will include farm visits, new culinary experiences, outdoor activities in a pristine environment.
